Research has demonstrated that UFOV rehabilitation can reduce average impairment from 41% to 17%. There is significant improvement in participants’ in-vehicle driving test–stopping distance (from a speed of 55mph) was reduced by 23 feet and dangerous maneuvers were cut in half.

Even after an 18-month follow-up assessment, participants retained a 90% benefit in their in-vehicle driving and stopping distance tests, as well as a 50% benefit in reduction of dangerous driving maneuvers. Most importantly, UFOV was able to reduce the number of participants who stopped driving because of impairment, and increased the days driven, per week, of drivers who used UFOV rehabilitation.
